Results

Now you can receive your IELTS results faster than ever. By taking your IELTS test on computer, you are likely to get your result within 2 days.

Accessing Your Results Online

When your test results are released,  you will receive a notification email. You can then log in to your IELTS Test Taker Portal to view your results. If you took the test on computer,  you can download your official IELTS Test Certificate as a PDF. This can be used for all official applications. Physical copies of test report forms are not issued for IELTS on Computer, unless the organisation confirms it will not accept the E-copy of results.

Your Test Report Form (TRF)

An E-copy of your IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) will be available to download via your Test Taker Portal 1-5 days after your computer-delivered test.

Please note: that your IELTS test results cannot be disclosed via email or over the phone.

Understanding your IELTS Results

You cannot “pass” or “fail” the IELTS test. Rather, you will be awarded an IELTS band score from 0-9 for each test section, which reflects your proficiency in English.

Your IELTS Test Report Form will show a score for each of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) and an overall band score. You can score whole band scores (for example 5.0, 6.0, 7.0) or half band scores (e.g. 5.5, 6.5, 7.5) in every section of the test.

IELTS Results Validity

Your IELTS results are valid for 2 years.

One Skill Retake

If you didn’t show your full potential on test day in one of the four skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking), IELTS One Skill Retake can help you get back on track.

You can choose to take IELTS One Skill Retake at our test centre. Once you receive your results, you can opt to register for a One Skill Retake (OSR) if there is a skill that you feel you didn’t perform well in and would like to retry. You have to up to 60 days from the original test to book an OSR.  The 2026 fee is 145EUR.

Appealing your IELTS Results (Enquiry On Results)

If you feel that your IELTS results are not what you were expecting,  you can appeal them. This means that you can have one or more sections of your test re-marked. This process is called an “Enquiry On Results” (EOR). If you would like to make an enquiry about your test results, you need to apply at the centre where you booked your test within six weeks of your test date. You can choose which sections of the test you want to have re-marked.

There is a charge of €130 for an enquiry on IELTS test results, however this charge will be refunded if your score increases for any section of the test.

Your result will normally be available in 2-4 weeks, this depends on several factors including the number of sections requested for re-mark.

If you would like to appeal your IELTS results, please contact us and we will send you a form and further instructions.
