How to register

Before you register, please read this important IELTS Information.

We recommend you register for an IELTS exam at least 5 weeks in advance. Places are limited and are on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Online Registration

We are now accepting online bookings for IELTS exams. Click here to apply online.

Online registration will entitle you to a free 30-hour online preparation course called Road to IELTS . It will also allow you to check your results online for up to 35 days after they are released.

Online Registration is easy. Just follow these four steps:

Step 1: Fill out the online registration form. (Note: You will first be asked if you need IELTS for a UK Visa. Select NO unless this is the case.)

Step 2: Make your payment for the test fee of €197. You can pay the fee in the following ways:

Pay Online 2017

Alternatively you can send a cheque or postal order (from Irish banks or institutions only) made payable to Centre of English Studies or come to CES personally and pay by cash or credit/debit card.

Step 3: If you did not upload it when you registered online, email a scanned copy or post a photocopy of the identity document you will use on the test day. The ID document must be either a valid passport or National Identity Card from a European Union country.

You can email scanned documents to ielts@ces-schools.com

For photocopies, please include a print-out of the email confirmation of your online registration and post or drop in to:

Examinations Manager, Centre of English Studies, 31, Dame Street, Dublin 2, (Ireland)

Step 4: Once we have received the payment and documents, we will send you a confirmation email. Please note that it can take up to one week to process your application. Approximately one week before the test date, we will send a second email with all test times and information you need. To save paper, we prefer to send emails rather than letters. If you wish to recieve a written letter, please contact the office.

Note: The speaking test can take place within 7 days before or 7 days after the main test date. If you have a special request - such as a speaking test on the main test day - please contact the office at least 10 days in advance of your exam. Although we will do our best to accommodate you, we cannot guarantee that we can schedule a speaking test at your preferred time.

Note: Please check your email inbox and junk mail inbox regularly. You may also wish to list our email address ielts@ces-schools.com as ‘not junk mail' or ‘safe' in your email provider's settings.
